Intro
This is the first blog post.
I'm following notes from https://dg-docs.ole.dev/ - the Digital Garden plugin for Obsidian.
Editing the content here happens entirely in Obsidian, which means using native markdown and working locally
The main motivation for this was realizing I had the rosscodes.com
domain from a few years ago, and I haven't ever done anything with it beyond an old Habit Tracker in Elm that doesn't work anymore (the backend was running on Heroku).
Additionally- BlueSky added verification via domain name registration, so I'm debating if I want the @rosscodes.com
handle. If you found this site through BlueSky I am shocked and slightly embarrassed that this is all there is.
Publishing
This is connected to a git repo, and the Obsidian plugin has a GitHub API token to be able to commit and publish. Pushing to the git repo triggers a build using Netlify, which should end up on RossCodes- hopefully where this is being rendered.
